What we do
We build for the way Africa already communicates.
We identify high-friction communication problems in African consumer and enterprise markets, then solve them with AI-powered WhatsApp products. No app downloads, no data-heavy dashboards, no training required, just a conversation on a platform 96% of Kenyan internet users already open every day.
Every product we ship is held to the same standard: it has to work on an entry-level phone, on patchy data, in the language the user actually speaks. Behind each one sits the same engine, conversational AI, M-Pesa payments and message infrastructure we build and run ourselves.

I'm a data engineer and cybersecurity specialist. Before Varistas, I built the data pipelines and reporting systems at Kenya Breweries Limited that told the business what was happening on the ground — and learned what happens to good information when it can't reach the person who needs it. The insight was always there. The last mile never was.
Varistas Ventures started in January 2026 from a simple observation: in Kenya, the last mile is WhatsApp. Not an app store, not a web portal, not an email newsletter. A church treasurer, a campaign organiser, a young man drafting a message he's nervous about — they are all already in the same place. So that is where we build.
I run this company full-time. I write the code, ship the products and answer the email. If you're a customer, a partner or a journalist, you can reach me directly.
Africa doesn't need to be taught new software. It needs software that meets it in the thread it's already reading.
